Hannah & Ross’s blissful summer wedding

Hannah & Ross’s blissful summer wedding

Back in August 2019 Hannah and nine of her friends and family, came and did a DIY Wedding workshop with me – making some gorgeous floral hoops for her special day.

Hannah’s chosen colour scheme was blush and sage, so all of the craft materials were selected to reflect this. From the large blush and soft pink peonies, gentle eucalyptus, to the soft white roses and complimenting ribbon – the hoops encompassed the feel of the day Hannah was looking for. They were displayed during their wedding breakfast adding colour and personality to the venue.

It was an extremely hot, summers day and we’d hired a beach side venue for the workshop. The hens had some nibbles and bubbles to kick off the afternoon and then got stuck in!

After a quick demonstration, everyone gathered their materials and got going. All materials are provided in the workshops including snips, scissors, artificial flowers, ribbons, hoops and ‘how to’ cards. With everything taken care of, all there is left to do is to enjoy the crafternoon.

Everyone made an individual floral hoop, all with the same materials, but every single one was different. Giving Hannah a unique set of wedding decorations to use on the day – and then each of the hens then took one hoop home afterwards. It’s a great way to get involved in the wedding and then also have a keepsake decoration for the home.
