Totes bespoke…
It’s up to you what you want the design to be, but it’s a good idea to start sketching out your rough ideas first. It’s best to use black ink to provide the best contrast to work with. Be aware that it’s the black parts of your image that will be the printing part. Spend some time finalising your design and when you’re happy, scan it into the computer, or take a photo with your phone/camera. You will then need to make your design the correct size you want the stamp to be. You will need to think now what stationery/paper/items you will be stamping to ensure you select the correct size. If you’re on Mac you could use Preview to do this, or on PC you can use Paint. Make sure you hold down the shift key when resizing to avoid any stretching of the image. There is a huge tips & advice section on the English Stamp Co website if you get stuck. Alternatively, you can send your image directly to them and they will take care of it for you!
It’s a great idea to create your own stamp as you can use it on sweetie bags, favour tags and even on your invitations.
Create your own…
If you fancy giving the drawing pencils a miss – you can use the English Stamp Co’s excellent online tool, which enables you to create bespoke typographic stamps in a few simple clicks. You can choose text line by line, using a great selection of fonts. You could use your names and date of the wedding for a really personal touch. This is also fabulous for save the dates, or the wedding invitations themselves.
Tip: Why not create yourself a wedding logo to ensure a consistent look on your big day.
